JUNIOR DRIVING PROGRAMME
Educational & Fun
Airport Driving School “Irelands Most Successful Driving School” in conjunction with Navan Adventure Centre an outdoor award winning multi-activity adventure park situated in the Boyne Valley, Co. Meath, have developed a Junior Driving Programme at Navan Racecourse in Co Meath. The program is aimed at 14-17 year old’s who wish to take their first steps into the world of driving, or pupils with intellectual or physical impairments who wish to sample the experience of driving.
It has been a huge success for all schools and students that have taken part. They have found it extremely enjoyable, interesting and a great way to introduce junior drivers to Driving and Road Safety.
At Airport Driving School we have been training the drivers of tomorrow since 1968, all our instructors are RSA ADI qualified, we also have Rospa Gold & Silver level instructors and our CEO Tom Murphy is a member of the Institute of Master Tutors of Driving.
Our facility is a 4 Acre off road training compound with roundabouts, junctions, 2-way traffic and road signage. The students can get behind the wheel of the car and actually drive it putting into practice all the basics of driving that the instructor will teach them.
The instructor will cover all the secondary controls with the students, covering moving off and stopping the vehicle, starting and stopping the engine, turning right and left etc.
The instructor will give the students examples of how to deal with hazards correctly including road signs and road markings and what to do in those situations.
We have an excellent indoor facility including toilets, changing/locker rooms, showers, party rooms and coffee shop and a large canteen for the students to have lunch while they are there.
In the age of digital technology, outdoor activity is more important than ever. Not only does outdoor group activity promote better social and communication skills, it promotes better sleep and a healthier lifestyle.
This an ideal program for, Secondary/Transition year students, Scout clubs, Nervous pupils, Youth clubs, Education centres or Sports clubs with Junior Teams.
This facility allows you to experience driving off-road and will help you master the basics of driving before driving on public roads.
