No. Airport Driving School is not an insurance provider. We may be able to tell eligible pupils about current insurance offers or routes linked to training with us, but quotes, cover and approval are handled by the insurance provider or broker.

Can driving lessons reduce my insurance?

Lessons do not automatically reduce your insurance. Some offers may have training requirements, but any discount depends on the insurer or broker, your personal quote criteria and current terms.

Who can ask about insurance offers?

Learner drivers, young drivers, newly qualified drivers, parents and returning drivers can ask our booking team whether any current insurance offer route may apply.

What information might I need for a car insurance quote?

Bookings are arranged by phone first so our team can confirm the correct lesson type, location, instructor, date and time. After this, selected lessons or packages may be payable online.

I had a great experience taking lessons with Martin. I had years of driving experience and had picked up a few bad habits along the way, but Martin quickly pointed out the mistakes I was making and helped me refine my driving skills. I have had a couple of lessons already with Gareth. At first sight he is enthusiastic even in the wee hours of the morning. What I appreciate most is that he gives me the opportunity to try manoeuvres myself few times and then encourages me to analyse what went wrong. When I have situational questions he explains what needs done and the logic behind the reasoning and gives examples or show me it when the opportunity comes. Gareth always takes into account the areas I tell him I struggle with and tailors the lessons accordingly. He never makes me feel stupid or embarrassed, he patiently explains what needs to be done in a clear logical way. We have a quick debrief after the lessons that also help clarify things we discussed while I was driving and maybe didn’t fully absorb. His respectful and calm teaching style means I don’t feel nervous during lessons. I can be honest about my weaknesses because I know he will focus on helping me overcome them and build my confidence. I would recommend stick to small driving schools where there is just a single instructor and single car which would help you to save your money and get less confusing instructions.s confusing instructions.

I started training with Ross Smith under the reduced EDT in January, and he didn’t just give me the rules for the sake of it. He actually explained the practical aspect behind every rule, helping me bring that into practice. He tailored the lessons perfectly based on my previous driving history and correcting any bad habits I picked up over last 10 years, instead of just mechanically going through lessons.
Result: I passed!

Passed my driving test today with airport driving school. I couldnt recommend them enough. I was an extremely nervous driver and after failing my test a few years ago it knocked me back and put me off sitting it again. So I booked in for a couple of lessons with Derek, he made me feel so at ease and built up my confidence to go and sit the test again. I then had a mock test with John and another lesson with Des I couldn’t recommend these three lads more they all helped me out so much and I could never thank them enough for helping me to get to where I wanted to be and passing my test. I recently done a bus test with Airport Driving School in order to start a career with Bus Eireann, i had 2 excellent instructors in Jason And Ciaran and i always felt with their guidance that i would pass the test, but for me the cornerstone to success was the mock tests that i had to do, i done them with Tom and i will take his tuition with me everywhere i go he was fantastic but though, he really opened my eyes to the bigger picture, yes this was about the driving test but it was also something for me to take with me for future situations. ill never forget the guys and would like to thank the entire team at Airport Driving school for there excellent service.

Derek is an excellent driving instructor! Both my boyfriend Mike and I did lessons with Derek and passed! I passed my test first time! Before I did lessons with Airport Driving School, I did not feel confident driving and was sure I would fail my first test but Derek got my driving up to the necessary standard and helped me to gain confidence behind the wheel. We both did the motorway lesson with Derek after our tests and I would highly recommend it. Having a full driving license was always an important goal of mine, but I was unsuccessful in a driving test three years ago and it shattered my confidence. After renewing my learner permit for the fourth time, I decided it was time to try again. From the very first lesson, Derek was very calm, professional, down to earth and a great laugh too.
