Airport Driving School have being the leader in driver training for the last 55 years. We are the only driving school in Ireland that can offer Driver training in a fully commissioned Ambulance.

Our Ambulance is a VW Crafter purchased from NHS. Wet train students for their Ambulance/Paramedic driving license in an actual ambulance. Lights, sirens and layout are as they will be once you qualify as a paramedic. The requirement is a C1 license and our ambulance has a GVW of 5.5 tons.

We will also be following the RSA ESDS training course modules and we have instructors qualified to do so.

Our Ambulance is a fully commissioned vehicle we have also purchased a Ferno Pegasus Stretcher, Stair climber & treatment chair. All lights and sirens are working as are the tail-lift and steps.

Airport Driving School feel that we as a driver trainer can assist student paramedics to obtain there full C1 license in as short a time frame as possible be they B license holders or Learner permit holders we will assist at all levels.

My instructor Brendan was very helpful, went through all details and provided feedback on all my mistakes immediately but also praised and encouraged me through out the training, which is very important for a trainee like me who never rode on a motorbike. He is clam, cool and patient Instructor. He would actually explain every rule of driving.

I started training with Ross Smith under the reduced EDT in January, and he didn’t just give me the rules for the sake of it. He actually explained the practical aspect behind every rule, helping me bring that into practice. He tailored the lessons perfectly based on my previous driving history and correcting any bad habits I picked up over last 10 years, instead of just mechanically going through lessons.

I was an extremely nervous driver and after failing my test a few years ago it knocked me back and put me off sitting it again. I recently done a bus test with Airport Driving School in order to start a career with Bus Eireann, i had 2 excellent instructors in Jason And Ciaran and i always felt with their guidance that i would pass the test, but for me the cornerstone to success was the mock tests that i had to do, i done them with Tom and i will take his tuition with me everywhere i go he was fantastic but though, he really opened my eyes to the bigger picture, yes this was about the driving test but it was also something for me to take with me for future situations. ill never forget the guys and would like to thank the entire team at Airport Driving school for there excellent service.

Derek is an excellent driving instructor! Both my boyfriend Mike and I did lessons with Derek and passed! I passed my test first time! Before I did lessons with Airport Driving School, I did not feel confident driving and was sure I would fail my first test but Derek got my driving up to the necessary standard and helped me to gain confidence behind the wheel. We both did the motorway lesson with Derek after our tests and I would highly recommend it. Having a full driving license was always an important goal of mine, but I was unsuccessful in a driving test three years ago and it shattered my confidence. After renewing my learner permit for the fourth time, I decided it was time to try again. From the very first lesson, Derek was very calm, professional, down to earth and a great laugh too.
